Your dive will take place within – and above – the Vredefort Dome World Heritage Area, at the centre of the world’s largest asteroid crater. Upon arrival, you’ll be given a thorough briefing and get fitted with a tandem harness, jump suit and goggles. As you make the ascent to altitude – the tension rising with every metre off the ground – any nerves are sure to be eased by the vigorous professionalism of your assigned Tandem Master, who’ll be attached to you for the duration of the dive. Once you’ve reached the necessary height, the two of you will exit the aircraft for 30 - 35 exhilarating seconds of free fall. Few sensations can compare to this moment – the landscape stretched out below as you reach speeds of up to 200 kilometres per hour. At a safe altitude, your partner will release the main parachute and bring your descent to a gentler pace. You’ll have the opportunity to fly the chute yourself and really savour the views, before being brought in to land. With feet back on solid ground, you’ll receive a certificate with which to remember your fantastic achievement. Your experience as a human meteorite will also have been documented with video footage and photos, which you'll be able to access via an online drive!

Skydiving in Parys can be booked on weekends throughout the year between 08:00 - 17:00, subject to availability. Weekday bookings require a minimum of six people.

Every jumper will need to complete a comprehensive indemnity form on the day.

Jumpers are required to arrive one hour before the scheduledjump time.
The briefing takes approximately 15 minutes, and the flightlasts around 20 minutes to an altitude of 11,000ft.
You'll experience 25-30 seconds of free-fall, then 5-7 minutesunder canopy.

Jumpers should wear sensible shoes that will not slip. Jump pants will be provided which fit over trousers/shorts.
It's advised to dress for the weather.
Skydiving is a highly weather dependent activity, and can be cancelled if the conditions are not safe.
The conditions will be assessed on the day and a decision made, so please make sure you are contactable the morning of your jump.
