During this half day adventure in Franschhoek, you'll hike to the top of a peak in the Cape Winelands before getting ready to launch with your instructor and paraglide your way to the bottom!
At the prearranged meeting location, you'll be met by your friendly instructor and introduced with a briefing. Once you're ready, you'll begin your guided hike together. Your walk up to the peak aims to begin around sunrise to capture the most beautiful part of the day. Previous hiking experience is recommended, as the hike is less than 4km, but often involves steep trails over technical terrain. You'll carry your paragliding kit together inside provided backpacks as you hike up the peak and enjoy the serenity and breath-taking views of the Cape Winelands. Once you have completed the 2-3 hour hike and you're both at the top, your instructor will briefly assess the weather and ensure you are safe for take off. Once you're both equipped and briefed on the glide, you'll jump off the peak and take off! You can sit back and enjoy the unparalleled vistas of the Cape Winelands as your instructor takes care of the rest. As your glide comes to an end and you return to ground, you'll return to your original meeting point where you'll have the chance to share all of the amazing photos and videos gathered throughout.
