ALL ABOUT THIS EXPERIENCE

2 Hour Introduction to Kitesurfing in Cape Town

Learn the basics of kitesurfing from expert instructors during this 2-hour intro session in Cape Town!

This introductory kitesurfing session is your chance to try out the basics of the sport, in one of the world’s best locations. Learn to utilise the power of the wind, and take the first steps towards becoming a seasoned pro!

Cape Town is renowned as a top kiteboarding destination, and Bloubergstrand’s Big Bay has become particularly popular due to its super-consistent, South-Easterly winds. Each year, its white sand beach and crystal blue waters play host to the Red Bull ‘King of the Air’ contest – among the most prestigious of its kind in the world. Even those competitors had to start somewhere, so your lesson will begin with the theory of safety and wind explanations, before you try flying a small foil kite. Next, you’ll cover how to set-up and pump your kite, and connect the lines independently. Finally, once preparation and safety systems are complete, you’ll move on to hone your flying skills.

After the Two-Hour Introduction to Kitesurfing, in Cape Town, you’ll be perfectly placed to pursue your new sport further! An Experience Days voucher makes a thrilling gift for any active individual.
