Few sensations in life can compare to that of leaping from a plane at 10,000 feet – soaring through the air with the earth stretched out far below. This Tandem Skydive, in Plettenberg Bay, offers a chance to experience this unique thrill, with all the guidance and support of highly qualified Tandem Masters.
The centre has been operating in South Africa since 2002 and you’ll be skydiving within one of the busiest – not to mention most scenic – drop zones in the country. Upon arrival, you’ll meet your Tandem Instructor and receive a briefing. You’ll be kitted-out with a harness, jumpsuit and goggles, before making the flight to altitude. Your harness will be attached to your instructor, whose professionalism is sure to quell any nerves – allowing you to enjoy panoramic views of the Plettenberg coastline and Robberg peninsula. After around twenty minutes, your heart is sure to be pounding once again when – at a height of around 3 kilometres – you exit the plane. During the next 35 seconds exhilarating free fall, you’ll reach speeds of up to 200 kilometres per hour, before your descent is brought to a gentler pace with the automatic release of the parachute. You’ll now have the opportunity to really savour that view as you steer yourself safely back to earth.

Tandem skydives can be booked seven days a week throughout the year, subject to availability.
The minimum age is 12 and participants under 18 need written consent from a parent or guardian. Participants must also be big enough to get safely strapped into the harness. If you are concerned then please enquire before purchasing.

The flight to altitude takes approximately twenty minutes, then there's 35 seconds of free fall and 4-5 minutes of parachuting back to earth.

Six people can jump every half an hour.
Spectators are welcome to watch from the airfield.Jumpers should wear comfortable clothing with shoes that won't fall off. Glasses and contact lenses are allowed, and you're permitted to bring a camera. Jump suits are provided.
Tandem skydiving is a weather dependant activity, meaning it can be cancelled in particularly high winds or low clouds.
If a cancellation occurs, the experience will be rescheduled.
